Conoce a Chicago: Central American Parade
By Elizabeth Reinhardt
This past weekend, Chicago was alive with Hispanic cultural parades and festivals celebrating the opening of Hispanic Heritage Month and the independence days of Mexico and Central America. Neighborhoods around the city celebrated their diversity, and PACO attended the Central American parade in Albany Park.
Although short, the parade was colorful and vibrant. Countries from across Central America were represented, from Belize down to Costa Rica. Check out our photo gallery below to see some of the parade action!
There are Hispanic Heritage Month events going on all over the city until the celebration ends on October 15. You can see events taking place at the Chicago Public Library here.
